“Everyone have fun or this old man is going to kick you right in the butt!”
Mion hastily went down the stage to check the booths she put up and make sure the whole festival was running smoothly.
How it happened, when it happened, no one really knew. It was something that was out of anyone’s jurisdiction. Basically, she was feeling lonely. Everyone was having fun, except her. The Island was just different. The people who were stuck there weren’t the same anymore. She wasn’t feeling old; she thought she was old enough already. Where did the Island she lived in go?
While doing her rounds, someone tapped her shoulder lightly from the back. Of course, it shook her and almost woke up her reflexes of hurting the one who surprised her. Almost.
“Yo! How’s it going?”
“B-B-Boss! Morita!” Mion started yelling. And she kept yelling.
“I’m back, I guess! Nice festival, too! It’s been a while, yeah?” Morita didn’t really do any spazzing or yelling. He would have done that. At least, the normal Morita would have.
He’s been lonely too.
He just gave Mion a hug. What they both needed was a hug. What they both needed was company. Something that reminded them of home.
Morita ruffled Mion’s hair and pretty much messed it up. Hurray. He smiled brightly at the younger girl and then looked around, checking the festivities. “So, what’s new in this place? I bet there’s a lot I’ve missed! You should definitely help me catch up with the latest.”
Not letting Mion reply, he pulled her to one of the gaming booths so the two of them can spend some time together. She looked lonely, and Morita didn’t like people who seemed lonely! The fireworks in the sky seemed to agree.
